Dr. Zakers is a double board certified physician in Child and Adolescent psychiatry as well as adult psychiatry. Dr. Zakers is a specialist is sports psychiatry, eating disorders, autism, and trauma treatment and currently works in school-based mental health at Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Zakers serves as the primary psychiatrist on the eating disorder support team at the school. She is adjunct faculty of the Emory Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences as well as Morehouse College of Medicine Department of Child and Adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Zakers is a committee chair of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry on the complimentary and integrative medicine committee and founder of Lakshmi Health &Wellness, which combines yoga with mental health treatment.
